Hair Extensions - Weave Tips

Q. I have just put a new weave in. Can you please give me three tips on how I should look after my hair extensions ? Thanks

1. It is important to wrap your hair with a silk or satin scarf at night, loosely but securely. This way the friction will be kept to a minimum and your style remains as natural as possible.

2. If you have straight hair extensions brush regularly in the day to avoid knots and tangles with a weave brush available from good hair and beauty shops or salons. However if it is a wavy style that you wear, spray the hair with moisturising activators and define style with your fingers.

3. Visit your stylist or weave extension provider in between times to re-tighten your weave to avoid having lose tracks that can cause your style to look older than it really is, this way your stylist will be able to address any difficulties you may be experiencing with your weave.
